To counteract all the meditating, I went to the full moon party on Koh Pangnang last night. Thems some crazy times.

Tracks to Ayutthaya

Took the night train to Ayutthaya with hopes that the sleeper train would be as romantical as I imagined it. Not quite, but a pretty enjoyable experience regardless. Arrived in Ayutthaya, the former capital, at 6am with no plan or sense of direction. I joined up with a couple of Chinese girls and we navigated the crowded, filthy, extra-fume-filled streets to the beautiful historic park-- full of ruins and groups of old people doing Tai Chi.

Chiang Mai

I was in Chiang Mai for another 2 days after leaving Vipassana. I filled these days with much wandering, enjoying the aptly timed flower festival, getting a tattoo, and going to the dentist. You know, the usual.
